CU-Vote is a credit union consumer advocacy council supported by your credit union whose goal is to protect credit union consumers by keeping the credit union movement strong. Whether it is educating credit union members about the not-for-profit structure of credit unions, promoting credit unions to the general public or talking with elected officials, CU-Vote is working on your
behalf. CU-Vote activities include:

• Educating credit union members about the difference between credit unions and other financial institutions.

• Informing credit union members of the current political issues that affect credit unions and their members.

• Sending surveys about important credit union issues to elected officials and candidates and passing along the results to you, so you know where they stand on these issues.

• Working to increase consumer awareness of the benefits of credit union membership.

• Talking to elected officials about credit unions and the ways they benefit
their members and communities.
